Accommodation Details
Oozing Mexicana art, Californian motifs, organic foods and awesome quality, the Church Street Hotel offers a 24 hour Havana honesty bar - so help yourself to imported beers, Spanish / Cuban chocolates and some foods that may have never passed your lips before! The street-facing lounge comes equipped with a terrific little library as well as art house films and DVDs. Come morning, the lounge converts to a breakfast room where you can tuck into Monmouth coffees (straight in from Borough Markets), freshly squeezed orange juices, croissants from the local Portuguese bakery, yoghurt from Neal's Yard and zesty smoothies!
WIFI is available throughout the hotel - so while your chowing down on organic muesli, catch up with friends and family from afar. Reception offers security for all your souvenirs, passports and essentials; and if you've come back from a hectic day of London Eye rides, National Theatre or general mooching along South Bank... tuck into the complimentary tea and coffee on offer.

Room Information
Spread over 3 floors, all 27 rooms are a blend of colours, from cobalt blue to red pepper. Beds are solid wrought iron with white sheets and Mexican throws and the bedroom walls are covered in retro posters of Spanish films and Romanian stained-glass windows. Deluxe rooms offer flat screen TVs, DVD / CD players and air conditioning. Bathrooms are the best bit... decked out in multi-coloured tiles imported from Jose in Guadalajara, some with a combination of both shower and bath. Standard rooms are without aircon and feature the same bathroom and bed linen as the Deluxe rooms. For those booking a room with shared bathrooms -what's terrific is the bathrooms are for use by a maximum of 3 people and are as spic, span and tiled as the Deluxe rooms. In every room you will find organic Green & Black chocolates, cool books, bottles of mineral water and a small pot of 'la casa' hot sauce!

Location
The Church Street Hotel is on Camberwell Church Street (A202), near Camberwell Green, in south London. The nearest tube stations are Oval (about 1.5km / 20 minutes' walk, or a short bus ride), and Brixton (a little further). The nearest overland train station is Denmark Hill (about 700m / 10 minutes' walk, or a short bus ride).
Church Street is humming with Tapas bars, great pubs, 24-hour grocers and random boutique and curios shops.

Local Attractions
- Camberwell has an artsy scene, kick-started by students at the College of Arts - the South London Gallery has progressive exhibitions (including Gilbert & George and other Turner prize winners); the GX Gallery is a smart showplace for paintings
- Not far is the Dulwich Picture Gallery - designed by John Soames, it was England's first public gallery, with works by Van Dyck, Rembrandt and other Old Masters; the Horniman Museum has an idiosyncratic collection of stuffed animals and musical instruments from across the globe
- The music scene in Camberwell is low-fi and louche with DJ sets at the Funky Monkey a few doors down from CSH; big sister Brixton has the Academy for live bands and Plan B for clubbers
- The Blue Elephant Theatre admirably maintains the fringe core, producing classic plays, dance, puppetry, new writing and storytelling on its stage
- Local pubs aren't just drinking holes - the Castle has regular comedy nights, the Sun & Doves a weekly film evening, the Hermits Cave is authentically Irish with the country's first 'frozen' cider on tap - check it out!
- Cricket fans have only a short bus ride to the Oval cricket ground, site of England¿s famous Ashes win over Australia in 2005 (Oz won it back rather decisively in 2006-7)

You've also got the London Eye, The National Theatre and Old Vic Theatre in easy reach by bus
